Farewell ...

... for now. Here are pictures from our final dinner together on June 11, at Vizantino in the Plaka. Plans for a reunion dinner at the Plaka Taverna in Madison are already in the works. Bring your earplugs!

Greece, Part 2

The final 11 days of the trip were busy, but not as hectic as the first week. Here's what we did:
  • June 2: Free day and class in the evening
  • June 3: Byzantine and Christian Museum, dinner by the sea at Edem
  • June 4: National Archaeological Museum, evening departure for Santorini
  • June 5-7: Free weekend in Santorini
  • June 8: Day trip to Delphi and Osios Loukas (temperature over 100 degrees!)
  • June 9: Day trip to Aegina (temperature over 100 degrees again!)
  • June 10: Free day, farewell dinner at Psara's, concert of music by Mikis Theodorakis and poetry by Giannis Ritsos at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus
  • June 11: Final class meeting and final dinner together in the Plaka
  • June 12: Departures

Leaving their mark: adding a "W" (just left of the door) to the graffiti in Oia.
